"A's" Very Fun Pizza Party

David was sure looking forward to seeing his teammates again. Today was that day and as you will see, it was a moment to remember.

The "A's" gang celebrates at Uncle Howies

David poses with Coach and ticket winnings. Happy times!
The parents presented the Coach an appreciation gift
Here's the kids' showing their version of appreciation ... aaahhh.... (David's hidden in the middle)

Another " The next Michael Jordon" in the group!

Seriously, he (teammate's brother) asked me if he may trade his sister for Sophia. He fell in love with her! I hope it wasn't an "imprint" moment for him!!! (you Twilight series readers know what I'm talking about)

Another boy pining for her heart

Sophia enjoys her cake!

Back in the 80s

Courtesy of Jackie
My 20th year high school reunion is coming up next month so I'm in a nostalgic mood (hence, you noticed the 80s music at the sidebar?). Instead of going to the official school reunion, we're having one of our own ... our hostesses are calling it: 'Ghetto FAbulous Reunion' at the beach. Unfortunately, I'm scheduled back to work on that day (not a good idea to call off since I would have been on LOA for 5 months by then!) so I'll be missing it. Honestly, I anticipated feeling out of place because this group is too hip for me ... I just got hooked up with this crowd 'cause the hostesses are my two best friends (pictured below under the "Distracted" posting). Though it would be awesome to: reminisce the good ol' times, enjoy each other's company, and catch up.
Thanks for inviting me Glo and Peb. --Glo, please save a day for me when you're in town so we can hang out ... you, me, and Peb.
**Hey Peb, hope you don't mind me using your pictures, I still have to dig mine in the garage!

T-ball Comes To A Close

Oh no! My laundry's going to be piled up again! See, having David's team shirt clean by game days meant I did laundry twice a week. I'm in trouble now that t-ball season is over. And what a wonderful season it was! The kids were incredibly cute to watch. Some tears here, run ins there, and confusion everywhere!! The best part of course is the fun had, skills learned, and friendships made. This goes for the parents as well. This experience was certainly a dream come true for me ... being in the sports mom phase. I really enjoyed this adventure with David and bummed that it ended so quickly. But as a friend pointed out, I have 11 more seasons to go!

Great job son! Your Daddy and I are proud of you.

***Here's more pictures. Other cheerleaders not captured were Grandma Bertha and Aunt Tish. David says a special thank you to his sister who was faithful in giving him water during water breaks in practices and games. --By the way, she ends up giving herself showers with those water bottles ... the devious giggles were precious!

Distracted

Courtesy of Jackie

My time with Blogger has been compromised! A couple of my jr. high school friends has gotten me into MySpace. I wasn't crazy about the idea of opening an account but it was the only way I would be able to see their sites so I did. Before I knew it, I got hooked! I still consider this site my primary website so don't worry about missing anything ... it just may take me a little longer to post 'cause I'm chit-chattin' away with them.
I only have four "friends" on MySpace so if you've got an account too, let me know.

Two Month Old Check-Up

Steven had his 2 month old check-up this morning. He received 3 shots ... ouch! He's 23 inches long and weighed 13.5 lbs. Below are pictures with Ms. Vanessa, the medical assistant. Hey Steven, is that a stink eye you're giving her?

Sophia came along too.

Steven's Baby Blessing

Steven received a baby blessing today. I had asked our dear family friend, President S. (gentleman who married Dave & I and also blessed David & Sophia) to give the blessing. I couldn't help but get emotional as he was saying the prayer and throughout the entire sacrament hour. An intense joy and gratefulness had filled my heart. I have a big lump in my throat right now just recalling the special moment! I certainly am grateful to Heavenly Father for entrusting to me another precious child.

I don't know where my head was because I didn't take any pictures at church or afterwards at home in his blessing outfit. I missed another picture moment with Pres. S.! I'm kicking myself for forgetting!!

Truly no words can describe the wonderful sacred feelings I felt this day ... I love you my dear Steven Albert.
