It's official ...

... Sophia starts kindergarten this August!  We just received the school's kindergarten placement note.  She will go to the afternoon class ... just what I requested ... so that she gets off school at the same time with David.

Wow, where did the time go?!  It seems like just a couple of days ago that she looked like this ...

More reminders

Yes, I still can't seem to get here as often as I'd like.  Bummer because it would be ideal to document the wonderful or not so wonderful happenings in the family.  :(

So here's another list of things for your to remind me to tell you about:
  • My Mother's Day loot
  • We have Daddy for 3wks (vacation time) ...so lots of family time togetherness  :)
  • My awesome bff ... Peb
  • Missing my other bff ... Glo
  • Getting set apart in my calling helped me feel less scared
  • Cub Scout drama
  • Sophia's upcoming pre-school graduation ceremony
  • Steven's upcoming turning 3yo birthday bash
  • My brother and his family goes back to the Philippines  :(
  • My endless and growing list of things to do and go
  • Summer plans
I've got a bit of a headache right now and my mind's bogged with lots of things so I'm sure I left off some things.

Meet my great-niece

... little miss Madeleine Grace.  Born Mother's Day eve.  Weighing in at 5.6 lbs and 17.75 inches long.  A spittin' image of her older brother Anthony.  Coincidentally they both had the same birth weight.

Congratulations Anthony and Jessica!!
(and Lizzy, lil Anthony, and Aiden)

I got to visit Madeleine today and I've got the baby fever now!  She's such a cutie pie!!  I love her.  :)

Jess and I seem to have a pattern of baby making.  I had David, year later she had Lizzy, then she had lil Anthony, and I followed a year later with Sophia, then I had Steven, and she followed 3 months later with Aiden, and now she had Madeleine, ... so I'm suppose to have another girl too!  Bummed that it's not gonna happen.  However, my body thinks I'm pregnant.  I've got the appetite of a pregnant woman and a basketball belly of one!  Oh well.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADELEINE!!

Remember 9/11

I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!

In light of the news of the death of Osama bin Laden, I had an opportunity to tell David the story of September 11, 2001. I was brought to tears. Even after almost 10 years, I still feel the pain.

Mixed with tears of pain, were also tears of pride. The many courageous Americans on that day who sacrificed their lives to reduce more loss ... and others everyday thereafter who fought and still fighting to keep the freedoms we enjoy. I thank you all!

The tragedy bonded us all. I am proud to be among the Americans who pledge, "...allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.". Indeed, may God bless America.
