Pumpkin Patch +

Little David had minimum day at school yesterday so we made it an adventure day.  After picking him up from school, the kids and I headed over to the pumpkin patch, had lunch at In-N-Out, saw 'Despicable Me' (btw, this movie would make for a nice Father's Day gift) at the movie theatre, and went candy shopping at Super Target.  Whew!!   =]

$59 ... not happening!

Rainy library day

We're still in the Fall season but last week we had some rain (preview of the winter ahead?).  It didn't last long... it was sunny again after a couple of days or so.  Anyway, the rain didn't stop us from going to story time at the library.  In fact, Sophia was excited to wear her galoshes.  Bummer that the rain stopped by the time we came out of the library ... not enough puddle to stump on!

Grandpa visits

Little over a couple of weeks ago my dad with Blake came over to visit the kids before he left for the Philippines for a vacation.  The kids had a nice time with their Grandpa.  ~Have a great time in PI, Dad!  Please send our love to everyone for us.

Proof ...

... that I'm loosing my mind.  Here's my conversation with Dave late last night:

Me:  (giddy) "Guess what day it is?"
Me:  (not waiting for an answer, just in case he forgot) " 12 years!.. our first date."
Dave: "No-oo.  What's the date today?"
Me: "Oh, I forgot again!  Why do I keep thinking it's the 21st today?"  (**see below)
Me:  "Wow, you actually remembered?"
Dave:  "Of course, I remember everything!"
Me: (smiling ... happy)

**See, we had a similar conversation this morning:
Dave: (regarding change in work schedule) "Maybe they'll give me an answer if I called them early ...though we should know by the 21st."
Me:  (ignorantly confident) "It's the 21st, you can call now."
Dave:  "No it's not."
Me:  "Yes it is!"
Dave:  (looking at his cell phone) "It's the 18th."
Me:  (looking at our kitchen calendar)  "Oh... that's why I went to the library today because my books were due on the 21st!"  (big embarrassing blush!)
Dave:  (smiling ... while continuing to read the morning paper)

Our new toys

Last month Dave went shopping.  He bought a couple bird feeders, outdoor thermometer (forgot to take a picture and I'm not in the mood to take one of it right now), and a bunk bed.  I had such a hard time getting a picture of a hummingbird because they drink quickly and fly away before I can even grab my camera.  I finally captured one because he was persistent about getting some nectar and I took the picture through my window so as not to startle him.

The 3 munchkins are sharing this at the moment.  David on top and S&S on the bottom.  S&S starts off here but often by the middle of the night the two of them are on our bed.  Sophia always seeks her dad and Steven likes me near him.

Just sceneries

When I go for a morning walk (which occurs in rarity), just south of my home, this is my view.

If we could only cut our neighbor's tall tree!

Random September pics

Yeap, I'm still playing catch up.  This blog is my scrapbook so I want to record as much as I can.

Aidan is 2

The kids and I attended Aidan's birthday party early last month.  We had a great time.  The clown was a big hit and overall when 'cousins' get together then surely lots of fun is to be had.

Look how darling he is!  ~Have an awesome birthday year Aidan.  We love you!!
