Spaghetti Night Full of FUNdraising!

What a fun evening at the ward Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser for the Young Women! Dave was at work but my sister-in-law, Tish, was able to join us and so that was a nice treat. We chowed down the delicious meatball spaghetti, soggy salad (but that's the way I like it!), buttered bread, and lemon ice cream. We enjoyed the Italian themed atmosphere, awesome Italian songs by Brother D., dazzling cool treats for auction, and the company of good people. Tish and I "won" some bids and went home happy. No pictures posted of Tish and I 'cause you know what they say ... camera adds 10lbs, but in our eyes it added 30! So here's the kids. --Bummed that I didn't take more pictures!

Here's my winning bids: "Death by dark chocolate" cake and Scandia Adventure pass package bag full of snacks ... missing the tickets and bottled waters it promised ... oh well. **Didn't get to take a picture of Tish's winning bid ... she got homemade bread with jam --yum! Thanks Sis for participating in the auction, you are awesome!
**Sidebar music: "Amore" by Dean Martin

Ward Picnic at the Park

This evening was our ward's social activity ... picnic at the park (the church provided the food and eateryware, while the members brought pies to share). I had a headache but I really wanted to get to know more people in the ward so I took the kids and we went. Later, Dave met us there ... hooray! That was a pleasant surprise.

We ate, mingled, and played. It was a good wholesome family activity. As you can see from Sophia's smile, it was fun too!
