We're going to the moon!

Just a little while ago this was the conversion:

Sophia to Dave:  "Are you going somewhere tomorrow ...judo, teaching a class ...?"
Me:  "No, we're going on a family adventure.  We're going to ride ... ask Daddy."
Dave:  "Yes, we're going on a big big adventure tomorrow."
Sophia:  "Oooh, where?"
Dave:  "It's a surprise!"
Steven:  "Are we going on a rocket ship?"
Dave:  "Yes, something like that."
Steven:  "Yeay, we're going to the moon!!"

My kiddos crack me up!!!  I love them!!!

By the way, we're planning on riding the Palm Springs Aerial Tram ... maybe it'll take us to the moon?  :)

Silly Sophia

Conversations yesterday morning with Sophia:

Sophia: "What are you doing with my chonies?"
Me: "I'm putting them away because I just washed them."
Sophia: "Why did you wash them?"
Me: "Because they were dirty?"
Sophia: "Oh,...why are they dirty?"
Me: "Because you used them."
Sophia: "Oh,...why did I use them?"
Me: "So you wouldn't be naked."
Sophia: "Oh yeah, I forgot."

Sophia: "What are you doing?"
Me: "I'm washing my feet."
Sophia: "Why?"
Me: "Because they're dirty.?
Sophia: "Oh,... why are they dirty?"
Me: "Because I didn't put socks on and I didn't mop the floors yet."
Sophia: "Oh,...why didn't you mop?"
Me: "Because I just haven't gotten around to it yet."
Sophia: "Oh,...why?"
Me: "Becaaauuse..." (not agitated, just finding this amusing)
Sophia: interrupts, "Mommy, I love you!"
Me: "I love you too, Sugarbooger!"

Me: "Get dressed then I'll give you this chocolate, but don't tell your brothers because I don't have enough for you all."
Sophia: giddy, "Okay! Thanks Mom"
~A little bit later, I overhear her talking to her brother David:
Sophia: "Mommy got me a pink chocolate, after I get dress ...but I'm not suppose to tell you."

Ya had to be there

*David screaming from the bathroom, “Mommmm!”
I run to the bathroom to find David bathing in the tub and he said, “Look Mama, my toto (penis) is floating!”

*Grandma: “Your daddy is a party pooper.”
Sophia: “Daddy likes party but he’s not a pooper!”

*Me: “What is Mike?” (wanting to know his nationality)
David: “He’s a human being.”

*Me: “Sophia, do you want to help me cook?”
Sophia: “Yes, Mommy I want to help you cook. I’m a great cooker!”

*David: “Do you know what’s between a squid and a monkey?”
Me: “No.”
David: “A swangkey!”

*Sophia: “I’m scared of the bunny rabbits”
Dave: “Why?”
Sophia: “The bunny rabbits are going to go inside my house and take my toys!”

*Me: “Are you done, Sissy?”
Sophia: “I’m not Sissy, I’m Sophia!”

*Wiggling while I’m putting on her Pull-up … Me: “You’re gulu gulu.”
Sophia: “I’m not gulu gulu. Daddy said I’m a pretty girl.”

*One night, I got emotional watching Sophia and Steven as they slept. I was in silent tears with immense gratitude to Heavenly Father for them … and then, Steven farted!
