Check-up time

Steven had his 1yo check-up this morning. He enjoyed playing in the newly furnished waiting room of the doctor's office. Once in, he was again mesmerized at Ms. Vanessa, the medical assistant. Then, Dr. R. examined him and discharged Steven with a clean bill of health! He now may drink 2% cow milk, continue a diet of soft food, and officially may sit in a front facing car seat. Steven is not walking or talking (words, that is) yet, but the doctor assured me that such activities usually occurs between 11-14mos so he's within the parameter and thus not necessary to worry at this point. Moreover, Steven is current with his immunization shots, so yeay no needles today! He weighs 22lbs and is 30in long.

FYI: Steven does stand up on his own and can walk when holding on to something like furniture, baby walker, etc. He recently can say, "mama" but since its the only word he can say right now, it also means, "more", "milk", or "dad" otherwise he will cry, scream, grunt, and such to make his wishes known. By the way, when he says "mama" to really mean for me, my heart melts!
